Bend Birth Doula

Your Central Oregon Birth Doula

As your birth doula, I am here to provide unwavering support throughout your pregnancy, labor and birth. My role is to empower you with the knowledge, confidence and comfort you need to have a positive birth experience, no matter your birth plan. Whether you're preparing for a home birth, hospital delivery or anything in between, I tailor my care to your unique preferences and needs. In addition to providing continuous support during labor, I’m also here to ensure clear communication with your medical team, helping you advocate for your choices and feel in control throughout the process. My goal is to create a calm, informed and empowering environment for your birth journey.

Birth Package

$1,900.00

My birth package offers comprehensive support throughout your pregnancy and birth journey. It includes:

  • On Call Support - I am officially "on call" for about 4 weeks around your due date (2 weeks before and up to 2 weeks or more after). However, you can call, text or email me any time as soon as care has been established - lasting up to a year after baby arrives.

  • 2 Prenatal Meetings -  Prenatal meetings are an essential part of my doula services, offering you and your partner or support person/people (if applicable) the chance to prepare mentally, emotionally and physically for birth. These are usually booked between 32 - 34 weeks and  36 - 38 weeks. During these sessions, we’ll discuss your labor and birth preferences, explore pain management options, go over newborn care and address any questions or concerns you or your partner may have.

  • Labor and Birth Support - I will meet you wherever you are to provide you with continuous support throughout labor and delivery, including comfort techniques like counter pressure, breathing guidance and positional changes. This also includes immediate postpartum assistance (1 - 2 hours post delivery) to help with newborn care and feeding initiation.

  • Backup Doula  - A backup doula will be provided in the event that I am not available for labor support due to unforeseen circumstances (personal emergency, sickness, another family in labor, etc.). If possible, I will help facilitate a meeting between you and the backup doula prior to when support is needed.

  • Postpartum Follow-Up - I like to meet with you 1 to 2 times during the postpartum period (generally, the initial visit happens in the first week and the second around week 6). These visits are ideal for checking on recovery, processing the birth and providing any additional support or resources as needed.

Not at all! While primary focus is on the birthing person, I also provides guidance and support to partners (or other support person/people), helping them feel confident and involved wherever they feel comfortable in the birth process. My prenatal appointments are structured in a way that takes the time to get to know you and your partner/support person, so I can show up in the most effective way to support both of you in the birth space. Doula's may be the experts in birth, but your partner (or support person) is the expert in knowing you! Our collaboration is key to bringing your baby earth side. My services are designed to nurture the entire family, ensuring everyone feels connected and prepared for labor and beyond.

A midwife is a medically trained professional who provides clinical/medical care during pregnancy, labor and postpartum, including delivering the baby and monitoring maternal and fetal health. Whereas, as doula offers non-medical support focused on emotional well-being, comfort and advocacy during these stages. Both work together to support you, but their roles are distinct and complementary.

Absolutely! I support ALL birth settings in Central Oregon. My primary goal is to help you have a positive and empowering birth experience, no matter where you choose to give birth in Bend or beyond.

It’s never too early or too late to hire a doula. Many families book their doula early in pregnancy, but I am happy to work with you at any stage of your journey.

Choosing the right doula is an extremely personal decision. Most Bend birth doula's offer free consultations so you have the opportunity to get to know a few in the area before making your choice. Here are some tips:
